TessaErger u niet, verwonder u slechts! / Don't get annoyed, just be astonished! 3月26日 lots of stuff going onHi there all!
Took me a while again, but hey, you're pregnant or not; lots of stuff going on these days!
As a mum2B I still have 3 months to go, Martijn and I are busy with buying a house, a house what needs some construction work (in April and May) and to make sure everything is organised we decided to get married as well!
22th of April this year is the day we get married. Just with family and close friends, without a party, but with a small dinner (for family).
We'll have a party some other time (this way we have several days to celebrate the wedding
So, that's why you didn't hear from me for a while, but I'm fine, the baby is fine and I'll keep you all posted! 12月24日 Christmas, 2008 and other stuffHello fellow-spacers!
I think you already noticed I wasn't really blogging the last couple of months.
I was more into Hyves, a dutch website, sort of the same as msn spaces.
I hope you are all feeling well and are looking forward to the coming Christmas days.
Last year Martijn and I went to Lanzarote to celebrate New Years Eve there. This year we won't be able to go away, because of the busy times at the Bakery these days.
Wessel and Susan are living in there new home since November and tonight we are spending Christmas Eve at there place with the whole family.
Tomorrow we will have dinner with my family-in-law and the 26th of December we have nothing planned, so it will be a relaxing day.
For Livia, my sister, her last week in Haarlem has started. Next week she's moving to Deventer, to live with her boyfriend, Robbert. It's a strange idea for me to think of her living there. It's only 1,5 hours away, but in Holland, that's from one side of the country to the other!
In August she and Robbert are getting married and coming February they will receive the key of their new home.
Another thing that is coming up in 2008 is a baby! Martijn and I are expecting a baby somewhere around June 21.
We are looking forward to that!
For 2008 I wish you all everything you are hoping for!
8月30日 Where is my summer holiday again...Hai you all!
Well, as you can see in the pictures; we've been to La douce France.
And we loved it.
We were able to use the big Chrysler of Martijn's parents, which was soooooooooooo great and relaxed.
Just camping, relaxing, driving, have a bbq and some wine..... a good way of living.
Well, the campsites were okay, but whenever there comes a next time then we need more things to do on or at the campsite (like a pool, river, whatever). We stayed at the small campsites, which was lovely, but....well...it's good the have a combination between a quiet and a less quiet campsite next time.
At this moment school has allready been started over 2 weeks
But, you get used to it immediately.....
Only 6 weeks to go and the next holiday (Fall) is knocking at my door...
We didn't really have a hot steamy summer (unfortunately) but it was great and relaxing. For now, i'll think we start looking for a house again.
Hopefully we'll get an Indian summer like last year!!! 7月17日 Summer holiday! Let the sun shine!Hi you all!
Finally the holiday started, over a week ago already...
Wasn't a relaxed start. At school there were some problems, because after the holiday we don't have enough space for all the kids and the city-government was too late with making some arrangements....
So August 20; still no idea how we'll solve that problem...
But for now holiday has started!!!
The summer isn't really spending her sunshine ours in Holland (I think we spent all our hours already in May)
and now our problem is more; what are we going to do with our time off?
Martijn doesn't have to work the next 3 weeks and still we have no idea!
Well, there are ideas enough, but which one should we pick?
I think we are a little bit spoiled because of all our small holidays and weekends away te last 6 months...
Last weekend, we were in Friesland again to meet some relatives from Australia who have been here for a month for family-reasons. Was so good to see them!
The destinations we were thinking of were (for example); Argentina or Vietnam, but the ticketprices were way too high!
Now we are thinking of renting a car for 3 weeks, and go camping in Europe, whereever the sun will bring us, but still...renting a car for 3 weeks isn't cheap...
Ah, will see...and we'll go somewhere!
Have a good summer!
Tessa 5月23日 It's been a whileOkay, it's been a while....
My space was a mess after the upgrade, because my pc missed a service pack from XP.
But checking out my space today since weeks....I noticed the pictures are working again so...
HERE I AM AGAIN!
Martijn has had his birthdayparty at the bakery with 50 chickens, which was great fun and very yummy, we've been to Barcelona, which we loved, we've been to the Veluwe for a weekend, next weekend we are going to Friesland, for a family weekend during Whitsunday, I have been busy (and still am) with school; made a movie with the kids, we're going camping in June, then it's only a few more weeks for summer holiday starts!
So lot of things to do 'till then...
So lot of pics to come as well, but since my sister Livia is nagging me for weeks for the pictures of Martijns party; here they are, FINALLY!
Barcelona will come later
See you soon!
Tessa 3月19日 Barcelona, here we come!!!Ok, it will take a while but April 28 we'll fly to Barcelona for a whole week!!!
We wanted to go there for such a long time and now we will. We immediately bought the Lonely Planet of Spain (intentions to visit the rest of the country are there
Hopefully we'll be able to spend some time at the beach as well, to give our feet some time off, and of course that would mean the weather is perfect (not too cold, not too hot).
We'll see....
Any ideas, good tips for things to do, to see, to go out or to eat (or DON'TS!); let me know! 2月21日 February; 29 and 79Hello you all!
Well, about 29 and 79....
February 4th I became 29. A number which doesn't mean a lot to me. I don't know (not that it's important) but it feels like "not really something". I mean, I liked 28, the equal numbers, in good balance, and 29 well, it's in between 28 and 30. And to mention 30....well it's not like I'm having problems with 30, but...becoming 20, yeah...that was SOMETHING, becoming 30...the Big World is really coming to get you!
Well, whatever...
Then about 79
Because that is something. Martijns grandmother, a very special woman, died of cancer last Sundaynight and tomorrow is her funeral. In May she should have become 80, but she didn't make it.
The good thing is, she was able to met Lieke a few times (picture; 4 generations together). Lieke was named after her great-grandmother; her second name is Willemien.
And Lieke is something! Don't you like the picture of us, with her cheeks sandwiched in my arms (LOL)! She's really cute and I really am a proud auntie, enjoying the good stuff, not missing the bad stuff (if there is any...)
Keep you posted!
Tessa
1月24日 Our niece Lieke Willemien Wiersma is born!Yesterday evening, 22 January 2007, we received THE phonecall from Marianne, saying the words; It's a girl...
After a heavy labour Lieke was born, 55 cm and 4,5 kg!!!
This afternoon, her 4 uncles (Alex' brother Jaap came with us) and 1 auntie, went to Friesland to meet this newborn.
What a cutie!
Pretty crowed in the hospitalroom, but ... we stayed quiet
What a lovely "little" babygirl. 1月14日 Happy New Year!I wanted to wish you all a lovely and healthy 2007!
Holidays are over and Martijn and I enjoyed our holiday on Lanzarote, where we spent New Years Eve.
It was so weird and so cool to feel the summer in January!
It was so relaxed, lying in the sun near the pool or just walking along the Avenue (5 km long). we rented a car one day to cross over the entire island (and have lots of fun) and also we visited the Timanfaya National Park where we had a good BBQ.
And also......we had our own private BBQ on the outside of our appartment and of course Martijn had to have a BBQ in January (so he could say that at home...LOL). And it really was a good one.
It really was perfect to have such a small but perfect warm holiday in January, hopefully we will be able to do that again sometime.
For now..we are counting the days before we'll become an aunt and uncle. Well...Marianne is actually the one counting the days (for a long time allready) because as far as she's concerned (and she is...mwahahahaha) the baby was welcome yesterday.
So, next blog it's probably about our little niece or nephew...I'm so curious...
Till next blog! 12月7日 Raindrops falling on my head...Wow, it's almost 2 months ago since my last blog!!!
Yup, I'm not really into blogging these days. No particular reason, just busy with work and normal stuff. No interesting stuff to mention.
In November, Martijn and I went away for a long weekend with Ermin and Mariska (and Daniël), near Assen. We rented a cottage and had such a relaxing and great weekend, with so much fun, good food and wine (and coffee with Frangelico...uhuh...Ermin
Pics will follow.
This week we celebrated "Sinterklaas" at school, always good fun with jokes, presents and poems, but also pretty heavy with al these kids jumping around because of their nerves....LOL.
So...while the weather overhere has completely lost it's mind, still being in the beginning of Fall, we are heading for Christmas, not getting the feeling at all, while storm and rain are all over us.
2 Weeks to go...and then...2 weeks off..............
Yesterday, Martijn and I booked a one week holiday to Lanzarote. For the first time we are able to go away in the winter, during my holiday. We are leaving December 31 (very early), so we will celebrate New Years Eve with 20 degrees!!!!
(although...of course...it is possible the weather is so much lost that we'll have snow overthere...
Anyway, I'm hoping to start 2007 in the sun near the pool or at the beach, for the first time in my life.....(catch me....
Also, Marianne (my sister in law) is still pregnant of her first child (expected the end of January), but she'll give birth to a HUGE BABY
Well, keep you posted..probably within 2 months. If only it was for the reason I wanna share with you guys I became an auntie and (of course) to wish you a beautiful 2007....
Untill then...Don't get annoyed, just be astonished!!!
10月8日 Fall in Haarlem, just a Sunday in OctoberThis afternoon, Martijn and I went to "Koningsbos" near Haarlem, together with Ermin, Mariska and their little son Daniël. It turned out to be quite a hiking-tour for Ermin, because of the buggy they brought with them (instead of the perfect other one they have for Daniël).
But, we had a lot of fun about it.
After that, we came home, Daniël took a nap and Martijn started baking pancakes...and they were delicious.
Fall really has started now, after a lot of rain this week, today we could enjoy fall as it should be.
Next weekend we'll visit Ermin and Maris and probably have a sleep over...YEAH! 9月24日 Interesting stuff...NOT :-)We still have an Indian Summer in Holland. August has been terrible concerning the weather, but September is great so far.
That's why my mum and I went to "de Olmenhorst" in Lisserbroek yesterday (on my new fancy bike
Getting there and go back, it was around 35 km on our bike, was do-able.
But of course yesterday was the day it started raining when we were on our way to Lisserbroek. Didn't matter, we had a lot of fun.
And of course, today I did some baking: applepie
It's still in the oven, so can't tell you the results yet...I'll let you know (or I don't...that depends on the taste..LOL)
Later this day I think I'll go for a ride to the beach, because of course the weather is good today
Very interesting stuff this is for u guys..LOL
Whatever.... 9月5日 New Schoolyear has startedWell, Summerholiday is over (Summer quite a while...concerning the weather...
Anyway...School started 2 days ago.. My new old class is great again, always easier when the children allready know you and how you want things in your class.
Eva just left after a short visit at our place with Myrthe. Still so tiny, sweet and relaxed.
Watch the pics above...
Last weekend we went to Friesland with Martijns parents, to enjoy (for me though) the last weekend of the holiday.
Well, half October another holiday starts allready.
Time flies when your having fun...So..... 8月21日 Myrthe is born on August 13!!!We came back this weekend from a great holiday in Slovakia!
We enjoyed the country, with its beautiful mountains. The first week we did some sightseeing, met Susan's family and the second week we stayed in a lovely cottage in the mountains.
This morning I visited Eva who gave birth August 13 to a beautiful little daughter; Myrthe Martina José!
Such a little lovely baby, sleeping all the time.
Marcel and Eva congratulations with your first born!!! 8月3日 Update!!!Hi there all!
Well, finaly my summer holiday is started (for almost 2 weeks already).
Almost 2 weekends ago we went to Friesland with the whole family for the wedding of Marianne (my sister in law) and Alex.
We had a beautiful day (with rain at the end of the day, so that was ok); starting at the cottage of Martijns partents in Langweer, where Alex came to pick up Marianne. There we took a lot of family pictures (see above). After that we went to Sandfirden where the church was for the wedding ceremony. I was filming and Martijn took pics.
Then it was up to Sloten, where Marianne and Alex arrived in a rowingboat, made by himself. At the Mallemok in Sloten we had the bbq.
A beautiful day it was.
Coming up is our holiday. We will go to Slovak, where Susan (my other sister in law, my brothers girlfriend) originaly came from. My brother, sister and I will go there including our boy/girlfriends and Susan and Wessels dog; Joie.
I think we will have a great time overthere, more relaxing, cause Martijn and I aren't backpacking this year
Pics will follow after we are back, that's for sure. 7月13日 Last week!!!I'm still alive!!!
Took me a while, June was a busy month.
Next Thursday my summerholiday starts!!! So June was full of school-things.
Also we had our performence, which went more than well (no pictures taken...sorry).
Last weekend I had the bachelor party of Marianne (Martijns sister), she and Alex are getting married next weekend (22 of July).
Eva, one of my best friends is expecting her baby around the 28th, so counting down now. Exciting!
And when everything is going well, Martijn and I will be an auntie and uncle the end of next January!!!
Marianne and Alex are expecting their first child!!!
But first, one week of school to go, the wedding and then..... HOLIDAY!!!! (for almost 6 weeks) 5月25日 The Salon, almost ready to perform...Well, June 10 and 11 is closer then we sometimes realise. Still so much to do for the performance, but on the other hand; we already did so much!!
Finally some new pictures at my space from the rehearsals of April an May.
Enjoy.
Lots of rehearsals to come, but...Saturdaynight is almost sold out and when it's June 10...we'll be ready...
Oh, maybe you found out for yourself, the definitive title became; The Salon, but it's still about; To meet, embrace and melt together...(and move on again...) 5月7日 Paris 2006Paris seems already so long ago. But we really enjoyed all of it.
Hard to tell everything, cause all the days became one or something like that. We just did en saw so much.
We walked a lot, taking the subway pretty often as well and the weather became so wonderful.
Taking the Thalys was a good thing. Within 4 hours we were in the center of Paris. We bought a "Paris Visité" card, so we were able to use the subway unlimited for 5 days. We went to the hostel and after dropping our stuff our "walking trip through Paris" was started, beginning in Montmartre, where our hostel was, to see the Sacre Coeur and then move on.
Well, in 5 days we saw the highlights of Paris. Didn't go up the Eiffel Tower though...been there done that.....
But we sat there in the sun for a while, enjoying the view and this time we went up the 207 meters high tower of Montparnasse for a different kind of view.
We also spent half a day in The Louvre and it was surprising to see so many tourists just coming there to see The Mona Lisa, because of the Da Vinci Code.
We've been to a small Wine museum (very funny), a few parcs to relax a while and giving our legs a break..., saw Napoleons palace, La Défence, several quarters of Paris, just walking through, drinking a cup of coffee once in a while.
Just to much to tell.
But we really enjoyed spending almost 5 days in Paris again, and again it was too short.
And coming back with the best Dutch weather (Spring finally started!) was great. Since years I was able to spend the whole afternoon of Liberty Day in the parc where the Festival was. Just sitting on a blanket with the sun, people to watch and life music.
Now it's Sunday already the last day of my holiday. But it was great.
4月27日 HolidayWell, only tomorrow to go...then my holiday starts...for a whole week....
This weekend celebrating Queensday first, probably at Studio for a good dance and then, Sunday morning we'll take the Thalys to Paris............
We're really looking forward to that.
It is such a lovely city to walk through.
We probably spend some time (again) at the Louver and Musee d'Orsay, but most of it, we just wanna walk through Paris and have a picknick somewhere outside with a baquette and some French cheese......
We'll stay at a hostel in Montmartre....so, I'm sure we'll have a great time!
Thirsday evening we'll arrive at Schiphol again, so we can spend Libertyday on Friday in "de Hout" to join the music festival overthere.
So, if you won't hear from me for a few days....I'm probably busy to touch, smell and feel Paris
The pictures will follow soon I guess.... 4月16日 Eastern weekend; a day at Texel IslandYesterday, Martijn and I went to Texel, with Livia, Wessel and Susan (and the 2 dogs).
Just for a day and it was very relaxing.
It's a 1,5 hour drive and the boat only takes you 15 minutes. So, around 3 pm we were in a small "town" called de Koog, where we had our late lunch.
Then, we walked to the beach and spent a few hours there.
Although there wasn't a lot of sun, the wind was warm and the temperature was good.
After dinner, we had the boat back around 8 pm and around 9.30 we were back home again. We finished the day with a feel good movie (Goal), popcorn and drinks.
See the pics above to get an idea of this day.
Enjoy your Easter weekend!
3月28日 "Ontmoeting, omhelzing en versmelting / To meet, embrace and melt together"Above you can see the first pictures of our repetitions from March. We are making a dance; 7 women, 3 men, modern jazz and also some tango elements.
In English the title would be something like; "To meet, embrace and melt together".
In Dutch it is; "Ontmoeting, omhelzing en versmelting".
You can find more about it (okay, it is in Dutch) on: www.danshuishaarlem.nl where you can search for it on the link; danswerkplaats. You can find a bigger selection of pictures overthere.
We will perform 9th, 10th and 11th of June in Haarlem.
We just started to rehearse in March, but I already know it really will become a beautiful dance.
Follow the process through the pics at my space or at www.danshuishaarlem.nl
3月26日 updateSo, what's happened over here. Nothing special, but very busy.
Last week at school I had all the "ten-minute-talkings" with the parents about the results of their kids.
And the weeks before; making preparations.
I also started my Australian project at school, to learn the kids more about Aboriginals and Australia in general.
Last Monday, Ermin and Mariska came for dinner with Daniel, we really had a good time.
And last Friday a few of my colleages came for dinner and games. Went to bed around 5 am.
And to get back in balance (lol) again, last night, Martijn and I were invited for dinner with our neighbours; pastor Jan Valkestijn and Rika.
We really had a good evening.
Well, next week Martijn is having his birthday. He's still thinking about celebrating it.
Enjoy your week! 3月16日 What colour green are you?
Balanced and calm, you have mastered the philosophy of living well.
What Color Green Are You? http://www.blogthings.com/whatcolorgreenareyouquiz/ 3月10日 Bye Bye Frankie!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Have fun down under.....Well, last Monday was the day of no return...as the tour operator (or whatever he was) said.... Frank, Martijns brother, was personally put on the plane (by his own fanclub) to Sydney, with a stop-over in Hong Kong.
As you can see (or already did see) at the pics...it wasn't too easy for some of us, but on the other hand....that's part of the show!!!!!!!!!!!!
How should it be...I wonder....spend a day at Schiphol Airport and just observe or take pictures (Martijns idea) of people saying goodbye...what is their story....I wonder
Well, we were a good scene I guess, we even waved (okay....not REALLY....duhhuh) to the plane as it took off, flying over Haarlem.
Well, Frank has his own website and forum, the first message sounded like;" I'm having fun, it's warm over here and you are all drowened away by the rain and winter"...LOL... as it should be.......and I'm getting "home"sickness thinking of Australia.....
Anyway....you can follow his journey (and all our stupid and funny messages at the forum, although most of it is in Dutch) on; www.frenzer.nl including (coming up)pictures.
Okay, so far...so good....having weekend now..being busy with school-stuff; test results for all the talkings with parents and everything.
Enjoy yours as I will mine. |
