January 31 turning 28Well, no baby yet!
While I'm getting more curious every day, Mariska is still carrying the baby, getting heavier every day
What about them, of course more curious than me, because it's not even my baby that can be born every day now! I'm just one of the close friends and I can't wait anymore....hmmm...will they still be able to sleep well?
Anyway, Saturday is my birthday, so maybe the baby will be born then? hopefully for her she doesn't need to wait that long anymore.
I will celebrate my birthday in the evening with some relatives and friends, so probably will be a good evening/night (somehow my birthdays always seem to end when morning is starting...)
Will see what happens... January 25 Egypte deel 1Well, after Egypt part 2, I had to put the pictures of Egypt part 1 online, so you can see, what I meant with the Sphynx of last year, which Martijn and Marco built. This one was probably too beautiful, because it took people a week before they wrecked it. And this explains where Martijn got the inspiration from to make the pyramid.
So, some old news overhere, but I still believe the Sphynx is beautiful; now all of you can see it online. January 24 Ehm...just the regular stuffSo, weekend already over, tomorrow the end of this week is coming and what's on my mind these last days...
well, always too much I think or too little (or is it less...).
Ok, no baby yet for Mariska and Ermin, these days they are busy again thinking about a name for a boy (because suddenly there was doubt on the first one). So, any ideas...sent them to me...lol...maybe it is any use for them.
That's one thing on my mind...babies...then...Jet, friend of mine will get the key of her first house this Friday! Well, it's the first one she bought herself. So, that means I have some painting to do this weekend.
This week will be pretty relaxt, just work, dancing/ballet classes in the evening, some working out tonight, hmm, and no big plans for the weekend yet...relaxing...good thing.
Actually this whole blog thing is about nothing, just keeping you up with my daily things. January 17 best friends, babies and expected babiesVruchtbaar nieuws!
Allemaal babygebeuren om me heen.
Today I heard that one of my best friends is expecting her first child, the beginning of August! I'm so excited, Maris is expecting her child about a week or something, and now Eva, wow, I'm so curious how they will experience it all!
It sometimes makes me feel like; do I wanna have a baby already, becoming 28 in a few weeks...sometimes I think I do but then...a second later I think I don't, because...well, it is for the rest of your life...that's (hopefully) still a very long time so having a baby I don't think you make that decision so easily! No problem because my boyfriend is not in the mood for baby's yet, so that makes it a very easy decission.
For now, I'll just be very excited for my friends. January 14 Pain in the back...So, it's weekend again. Just finished the first week after 2 weeks of Christmas holiday.
And it was nice to work with the kids again, and having fun with my colleages.
But, my back is hurting for a week now, so that's less fun.
Tonight I'll go out for dinner with a girlfriend from The Hague, she's moving back to Haarlem again next month and we didn't see eachother since the beginning of last summer so; time to eat, drink and a lot of talking for this night.
January 05 Going internationalAs Holland is a small country and as more people speak or read English, I decided to go international...
So probably my blogs will be in English from now on, unless I can express myself better in dutch, depanding on the item.
Same with the titles/subject, commentary at pictures, stuff like that.
That's because people are responding at my space, but almost everyone comments that they can't read it, because it is in dutch.
Well, the dutch language CAN be very beautiful and poetic, so this doesn't mean I refuse to use my motherlanguage, it's just that it's not international enough.
Another thing, for all the English-spoken visitors, as I am Dutch, I've been educated the English language, but of course, it's not perfect, so please don't put attention to any grammatical mistakes or other stuff like that. Or, let me know in an e-mail, so I can improve my English.
Thank you, because it's for you people I go international. January 04 Around New Years EveFirst of all for everyone who reads this: Happy New Year!
Okay, moving on. New years eve is behind us.
And it was a great night. Wessel invited us (which means; Martijn, Livia and me) to come to his place to have dinner with him and Susan. He really had cooked lovely; carpaccio as a starter, a divine peace of meat as main course with a lovely sauce and home made tiramisu for desert (which a lot of us couldn't finish, we really were stuffed
After that we enjoyed King Kong through the new beamer on a big screen. And then, around 11.30 we went to Studio. That's the place we spent the rest of the night. We saw some awesome firework at the Grote Markt (big market), including karbiet-shooting (can't find the English word, but think of the sound of bombing and you can imagine) and in Studio we partied and danced. We came home around 3.30.
Newyearsday, this time no family visits, the busses for the Studio-newyearsgala would leave early, because of the expected crowd + we wanted to sleep in a little.
So... the alarm went off around 12 and a quarter for 3 Wes and Susan were at our place, so off we went to Studio. Coming there, there were huge touringbusses (well done Studio!) to bring everyone (1000 people) to the Westergasfabriek in Amsterdam. In the beginning and at the end the busses were leaving every 10 minutes and in between every 30 minutes. So, very good arranged!
I never had been in the Westergasfabriek, but really, that's an awesome location! The party was like always, really "Studio", good band, cool, humoristic or good performances, really relaxing atmosphere and danced the through the nights.
Livia and Marloes put down a really cool version of the Corrs' Breathless and Wes and colleagues with Watskeburt; total humor!
Ok, eventually it wasn't Brasil for us this year, but hey, Studio knows how to celebrate a party, so in the end, I really had a great time...again...! |
